Booking and delivery
Do I need to be present when the skip bin is delivered and collected?
No, as long as we have clear access to the delivery and pick-up location. If you won’t be there, just leave clear instructions for where you’d like the bin placed, and make sure anything in the way, like parked cars or locked gates, is sorted before we arrive.
How quickly can I get a bin?
We offer same-day delivery across the Sunshine Coast. Give Scott a call, send a text or drop us an email and we’ll let you know what’s available.
How do I arrange collection?
All bins will be collected on the 7th day unless arrangements have been made prior. If you’re finished with your bin early, let us know and we’ll have it collected within 48 hours, we don’t leave bins sitting on your property for weeks on end.
Sizes and placement
What sizes do you offer?
Five sizes: 3m³, 4m³, 6m³, 8m³ and 12m³. They’re genuine cubic metre sizes, so you get the capacity you’re paying for. Not sure which one suits? Ring Scott and he’ll help you work it out.
Do you have skip bins with doors?
We have several bins available with wheelbarrow access doors. Let us know when you book if you’d like one, as they need to be requested specifically.
Where should I put the bin?
On your own property, a driveway, hardstand or lawn, if you possibly can. That usually avoids needing a council permit. Wherever you choose, make sure our truck has clear access in and out, and check overhead for branches, power lines and carport roofs.
Do I need a council permit?
You only need a permit if the bin is going on the road or footpath. Permits are issued by your local council, and the requirements differ between Sunshine Coast Regional Council and Noosa Shire. On your own land, you generally won’t need one. All permits are the responsibility of the client to arrange.
Can I move the bin once it’s been delivered?
Please don’t. Even an empty skip is much heavier than it looks, and dragging one across a driveway can crack concrete or tear up turf. If the position isn’t working, give Scott a ring.
What you can put in
What can I put in a skip bin?
General household waste, construction and demolition waste, green waste, clean fill, and clean concrete or masonry. Each has its own guidelines, have a look at our waste types page for the detail.
Can I mix soil or dirt in with general waste?
No. Soil and dirt need to go in a separate clean fill skip, and that bin can’t contain anything else. Same goes for clean concrete and masonry.
What can’t go in a skip bin?
Asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, flammable material, paint, batteries, food waste, tyres, dead animals, baby nappies, liquids, oils, solvents, poisons and wet cement.
Pricing and hire
Are there weight limits?
Not on general, construction or green waste, that’s covered by our flat rate. Clean fill and concrete are different, they’re heavy enough that strict limits apply, so be careful not to overload those bins. We’ll go through it with you when you book.
How long can I keep the bin?
Our standard hire period is seven days, but we’re flexible. If you need longer, just let us know when you book and we’ll sort something out.
How do I pay?
Payment is on delivery, and we have EFTPOS available.
